The Loving Oven are perhaps the only Japan-based band to be fronted by a female foreigner. Their debut single, If I Told You was released via TADA Music on April 7th, 2008, with an album promised by the summer. The band was formed in late 2007 in Fukuoka City, and considers the grimey backstreets of Nishijin its natural home. Not that the music reflects that in anyway; as you'll see here, they're interested in getting less obvious aural panoramas out of bog-standard instrumentation - largely a result of an admitted Tenniscoats obsession on the part of their two principle songwriters, Jon Nice and Jon Wilks. The pair revolve playing responsibilities (both can play a myriad of instruments), while Kana-Chan provides the beats and the very talented Em Kuntze handles lead vocals.
