Anyone who's seen a Kracker Japz gig will testify to their sheer energy and intensity. A meeting of minds and melting of Eastern and Western culture, they light up a venue like they're smoking magnesium. Hailing from all corners of the globe, the KJ'z play a blend of funk, hip hop and rock, though they have a lovin' acoustic side too. Driven by lead singer J-Hunt's animated presence, sharp lyrics and banter, their raw energy and sound has been compared to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Beastie Boys, Monkey Majik and Guns and Roses. Last year saw the KJ'z playing a number of gigs and festivals in Western Japan and also investing a lot of time in the studio. The year was capped off with a New Years gig atop Osaka's World Trade Centre. With this momentum and a whole new batch of songs coming through, 2008 looks set to be the KJ'z year.
